Tony has over 20 years’ experience in commercial and investment banking – focusing on the resources and infrastructure sectors.

​

Tony’s principal skills include executing advisory assignments, structuring of debt product and equity packages, management and execution of credit and documentation processes, overseeing and undertaking the financial modelling process, coordination of internal resources, including management of liaison with offshore/head offices.

​

Tony holds a BA (Banking & Finance) from the University of Canberra and a MAppFin from Macquarie University.

Major roles have included:

​

  • Leading the Origin team in respect of debt advisory services for Australian Potash and Andromeda Metals and project advisory services for Bengal Coal

  • Mobility ADO in respect of strategic opportunities in the Australian mobility market and the potential acquisition of Transit Australia Group

  • STL on restructure of the operating and access arrangements for its six bulk sugar terminals in Queensland

  • PKCT in respect of restoration and upgrade works

  • QR in respect of range of infrastructure related matters

  • MMJV in respect of gas fired power options for the Wafi-Golpu project

  • Xstrata Copper in respect of gas fired power options for the Frieda River mine 

  • PNG Sustainable Energy in respect of a range of power station development opportunities

  • Queensland Sugar in respect of terminal access to bulk sugar terminals

  • GrainCorp in respect of the disposal of a 50% interest in the Australian Bulk Alliance

  • AgMan Services in respect of securing investment in specialised grains property to be managed by AgMan

  • Pental in respect of debt financing facilities of $100M, and

  • PNG Ports in respect of financing options.

Prior to joining Origin in 2003, Tony was Director of Structured and Infrastructure Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and held a range of project and corporate finance roles at Babcock & Brown, AIDC Limited and Westpac Banking Corporation.
